Throughout the year, several Bible Study Classes are held on a variety of subjects. Additionally, the Four Corners Emmaus Community provides the Walk to Emmaus, one for men and one for women. It is a three-day faith enriching experience that was created many years ago by the Upper Room organization.
Education Opportunities for Adults
Adults at CUMC have a variety of educational opportunities. On Sunday morning two adult classes are held offering study of God's word with instruction and group discussion. The Seekers Class meets in the Youth Hall. Their lessons focus on contemporary issues facing Christians and churches on a daily basis and how the Bible is relevant today. The Winsome Class meets in the Library. They use the Adult Bible Study series and have two leaders directing the class through the lessons and discussions.
Studying God's word is an integral part of our growing in faith at Community United Methodist Church. Children, youth and adults are offered classes on Sunday mornings to learn more about God, His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
The Sunday School Program is underway for the winter months. The young children have Bible focused studies each week with fun craft activities and songs. In CUMC's multi-age classroom, the students learn through a variety of experiences and from several teachers.
